Sivoni Ligaiviu, a dedicated teacher from Kadavu Provincial Secondary School, expresses his deep appreciation for the blended learning opportunities provided by Fiji National University (FNU). These innovative online classes have enabled him to successfully earn a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Industrial Arts, despite living in a remote area of Kadavu.

Originating from Solotavui Village in Kadavu, with family roots in Waitovu Village on Ovalau, Ligaiviu is passionate about furthering his education. He emphasizes the importance of continuous professional development, stating, “I’ve always made it a point to upgrade my qualifications.” His graduation is not just a personal achievement; it signifies the potential for enhanced educational standards in his community, made feasible through FNU’s accessibility.

Ligaiviu has ambitious aspirations, having already commenced his Postgraduate units with the ultimate goal of obtaining a PhD. He is optimistic about completing his Postgraduate qualification in December of the next year, showcasing his determination to contribute valuably to education in Fiji.
