A Flying Fijian utility back showcased an impressive performance in the French Top 14 competition on Saturday. Bayonne center Sireli Maqala teamed up effectively with former England star Manu Tuilagi in their team’s 32-15 victory over Racing 92. Maqala scored a try in the 45th minute after tighthead prop Luke Tagi came off the bench. Racing 92 featured strong-running winger Josua Tuisova.
In another match, elusive winger Jiu ta Wainiqolo contributed a try in Toulon’s 30-17 win against Montpellier, where he was joined on the wing by utility back Seta Tuicuvu.
However, Flying Fijian second-five eighth Adrea Cocagi was sent off in the 20th minute as Castres triumphed over Stade Francais with a score of 35-13. Veteran Leone Nakarawa played at lock, while Setareki Turagacoke began the game on the bench for Stade Francais.
In another contest, Semi Radradra received a yellow card for Lyon in their narrow 29-26 defeat against USA Perpignan. Radradra and Sam Matavesi both started from the bench, while Perpignan’s Tavite Veredamu scored a try during injury time, with Eneriko Buliruarua playing at center.
