Bayonne’s Sireli Maqala has developed a potent partnership with former England international Manu Tuilagi, leading their team to a 32-15 victory over Racing 92. Maqala scored a try at the 45-minute mark, with tighthead prop Luke Tagi contributing from the bench. Racing 92 featured strong-running winger Josua Tuisova in their lineup.
In another match, elusive winger Jiu ta Wainiqolo scored a try for Toulon in their 30-17 defeat of Montpellier. Wainiqolo was joined on the wing by utility back Seta Tuicuvu.
However, Flying Fijian second-five eighth Adrea Cocagi received a red card in the 20th minute as Castres triumphed over Stade Francais by a score of 35-13. Veteran Leone Nakarawa played at lock, while Setareki Turagacoke started from the bench for Stade Francais.
Semi Radradra faced a yellow card for Lyon in their narrow 29-26 loss to USA Perpignan. Both Radradra and Sam Matavesi began the match on the bench, while Perpignan’s Tavite Veredamu scored a try during injury time, with Eneriko Buliruarua playing at centre.
