Fijian Stars Shine in Thrilling Top 14 Action!

A Fijian utility back showcased his talents in the French Top 14 competition on Saturday. Bayonne’s center, Sireli Maqala, teamed up effectively with former England international Manu Tuilagi at second-five eighth, leading their team to a 32-15 victory over Racing 92. Maqala found the try line in the 45th minute, with tighthead prop Luke Tagi entering the match from the bench. Racing 92 featured strong running winger Josua Tuisova.

In another match, elusive winger Jiu ta Wainiqolo crossed for a try as Toulon triumphed over Montpellier with a score of 30-17. Wainiqolo was joined on the wing by utility back Seta Tuicuvu.

Meanwhile, Flying Fijian second-five eighth Adrea Cocagi received a red card in the 20th minute, contributing to Castres’ win against Stade Francais with a score of 35-13. Veteran lock Leone Nakarawa played for Castres, while Setareki Turagacoke started on the bench for Stade Francais.

Semi Radradra also faced disciplinary action, receiving a yellow card while playing for Lyon in their narrow 29-26 defeat against USA Perpignan. Radradra and Sam Matavesi started the match on the bench, while Perpignan saw Tavite Veredamu score a try in injury time, with Eneriko Buliruarua positioned at center.

Toulouse, featuring burly winger Setareki Bituniyata, secured a slim 22-14 victory over Pau, who had Lekima Tagitagivalu listed on the bench. Fiji-born French winger Alivereti Raka scored one of Clermont’s tries in their commanding 55-33 win over Vannes, with fiery flanker Peceli Yato coming on as a substitute for Clermont and Salesi Rayasi starting for Vannes.
