A Flying Fijian utility back delivered his standout performance in the French Top 14 competition on Saturday. Bayonne’s center, Sireli Maqala, showcased a formidable partnership with former England star Manu Tuilagi in their dominating 32-15 victory over Racing 92. Maqala scored a try in the 45th minute, with tighthead prop Luke Tagi coming off the bench to contribute. Racing 92 fielded a strong running winger, Josua Tuisova.

In another match, elusive winger Jiu ta Wainiqolo scored a try for Toulon in their 30-17 victory over Montpellier, where he played alongside utility back Seta Tuicuvu.

Flying Fijian second-five eighth Adrea Cocagi was once again shown a red card in the 20th minute of Castres’ 35-13 win against Stade Francais. Veteran Leone Nakarawa played at lock, while Setareki Turagacoke started from the bench for Stade Francais.

In another game, Semi Radradra received a yellow card while playing for Lyon, who narrowly lost 29-26 to USA Perpignan. Radradra and Sam Matavesi began the match on the bench, while Perpignan’s Tavite Veredamu scored a try in injury time, and Eneriko Buliruarua played center.

Toulouse, featuring burly winger Setareki Bituniyata, secured a narrow 22-14 win over Pau, who included Lekima Tagitagivalu on the bench.

Fiji-born France winger Alivereti Raka added to the excitement by scoring a try for Clermont in their overwhelming 55-33 defeat of Vannes. Fiery flanker Peceli Yato came on as a substitute for Clermont, while Salesi Rayasi started for Vannes.
