After achieving notable victories against the Australian Schoolboys, Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys head coach Peniona Ranitu expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the series next year. The Fijian team, led by captain Samuela Tuidraki (Jnr), secured a 34-25 win at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Australian Schoolboys assistant coach Michael Crank shared similar thoughts, advocating for a home-and-away series to enhance rugby in the Pacific. He acknowledged the difficult conditions faced by the Australian team but highlighted the valuable experience gained.

Both coaches are dedicated to promoting rugby development in the region and are excited about the potential for future matches to improve competition and cooperation. In last Saturday’s opening match, the Fijian team also triumphed over the Australians with a score of 26-14, marking Fiji’s first win against Australia at the under-18 level.
