Four referees from Fiji have successfully had their FIFA Badges renewed for the 2025 football season, a testament to their commitment and excellence in officiating. The referees honored include FIFA Assistant Referee and Fiji FA Referees Development Officer Avinesh Narayan, along with Kavitesh Behari, Veer Singh, and Torika Delai.

Avinesh Narayan has held his FIFA Badge since 2012, demonstrating remarkable longevity and dedication. Kavitesh Behari received his badge in 2023, while Veer Singh, who now resides in New Zealand, obtained his badge in 2022 after participating in training camps in Argentina. The only female referee among the group, Torika Delai, was recognized as the 2024 Referee of the Year and earned her badge last year.

During a presentation ceremony, Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf expressed pride in the achievements of these referees, stating, “These referees have shown exemplary professionalism and dedication, which not only brings pride to Fiji but also raises the standard of officiating in the region.” Yusuf highlighted the importance of their role in inspiring the next generation of officials.
