Fijian Minister Treats Children to Unforgettable Circus Fun

Minister for Women, Children, and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya, treated the children of St. Christopher’s Home, Dilkusha Home, and Pearly Gates Home to an unforgettable afternoon of fun and laughter at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus yesterday.

Accompanied by their dedicated carers, Tabuya joined the 44 children who were amazed by the brilliant performance of the Vou dance and song troupe, in addition to 20 of her own nieces and nephews.

The event provided a refreshing change from the children’s usual weekend program, allowing them to experience joy and excitement in a new setting.

The children and their carers were thrilled for the opportunity to attend the circus, singing in their transport all the way home, highlighting the enjoyment and positive impact the outing had on their spirits.

Minister Tabuya was equally impressed by the show, describing it as the best homegrown performance to date.

“I’ve seen many circus shows worldwide but this show was different because of its Fijian-ness; the performers took the humor and the Bula spirit to another level,” she said.

Tabuya’s commitment to supporting and uplifting children under State care was evident throughout the event, as she actively engaged with the children and shared in their moments of joy.

The Minister’s presence at the Vou Fijian Flying Circus was a testament to her dedication to promoting the wellbeing and happiness of all children, especially those under State protection.
