The government of Fiji is extending significant tax benefits to prompt backing for two key sports projects. Tax deductions of 200% will be available for those who contribute more than $10,000 towards Fiji’s endeavor to host the 2031 Pacific Games. Likewise, donations exceeding $250,000 in support of Fiji’s bid to join the National Rugby League (NRL) will have the same tax benefit. Furthermore, in the event of a successful NRL bid, the affiliated organization will get a 13-year tax break and duty concessions, similar to those granted to the Fijian Drua.
