Fijian families participating in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme are set to benefit from access to education and healthcare services for their children, courtesy of a new family visa arrangement. This development follows a formal request made by the Fijian Government to the Australian Government, aimed at facilitating the accompaniment of 106 families to Australia as their spouses work under the PALM program.
Australian Deputy High Commissioner Clair McNamara confirmed the commitment of the Australian Government to ensure these provisions, underlining the intention to create a safe and supportive environment for those relocating as part of this pilot initiative.
