The Fijian Drua has announced the appointment of Josefa Vanuaca as the club’s Head of Sales, a newly created position that merges the previous roles of Ticketing and Hospitality & Sponsorship Servicing. This change comes as the previous office holders, Biu Tadranu and Lailanie Burnes, move on to pursue other opportunities.
Josefa Vanuaca brings over 15 years of experience in business development, finance, and project management to his new role. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with a focus on Accounting and Information Systems, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. Before joining the Fijian Drua, he worked with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
Shane Hussein, the General Manager for Commercial at Fijian Drua, described this period as an exciting growth phase for the club. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing ticketing, hospitality, and sponsorship service functions to provide a better experience for fans and corporate clients. Vanuaca will collaborate closely with Angie Lal, the Head of Marketing and Fan Experience, ensuring that every event is accessible and enjoyable for attendees.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Vanuaca shared his pride in being part of the Fijian Drua, stating, “Being given the opportunity to be part of it is a dream come true.” This sentiment reflects his deep connection with Super Rugby Pacific, which has been significant in his life.
Tickets and hospitality packages for the home games of the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season are now available. Their season kicks off with a match against the Brumbies on February 15 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
This appointment marks a positive development for the Fijian Drua, reflecting the organization’s ambition to expand and enhance its services for fans. It is a hopeful sign for supporters who can look forward to improved experiences at Drua events as the club continues to grow and evolve.
