Fijian Drua Players Train Hard: Could Sevens Be Next?

Fijian Drua players are currently participating in daily training sessions across various locations in Fiji as they prepare for the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season. Flanker Vilive Miramira expressed that the players are enjoying their break, saying, “I’ve been following an intense training program, mostly focusing on conditioning, a lot of running, and strength training at the gym.”

Miramira joined his teammate Motikai Murray at the Ratu Kadavulevu School centennial celebrations, which included a Fun and Sports day at Albert Park. He added, “I will seize any opportunity to play for the Flying Fijians,” emphasizing the need to enhance his game knowledge and fitness level first.

In order to maintain his form, Miramira mentioned that he usually plays touch rugby in the afternoons in Davuilevu. “There’s no rugby for me at the moment, just rest and recovery,” he said, expressing a desire to try out the sevens format to stay active. He is eager to join the Devo Babas sevens team for any upcoming tournaments, stating, “To all the Devo players and coach, best of luck in your next tournament. If there’s any space in the team, just give me a call.”
