The Fijian Drua is thrilled to announce that two of its academy players, Seremaia Salikoro and Sefanaia Naqama, have received scholarships from the esteemed Tauranga Boys College in New Zealand. This significant opportunity comes as part of a strategic alliance between the Drua and the school.
Salikoro, a student at Natabua High School, has secured a three-year scholarship, while Naqama, from Sila Central High School in Nausori, will benefit from a two-year scholarship. Their potential was recognized by Regan Ward, the First XV coach, and Senior Rugby coordinator Aidan Kuka, who identified the pair as ideal candidates during a recent week-long visit with the Drua.
General Manager of the Fijian Drua, Baden Stephenson, expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting the transformative impact it will have on the two young athletes.
