Fijian Drua Players Innovate Training for Super Rugby Season

Fijian Drua players are currently participating in daily training sessions at various locations across Fiji as they prepare for the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific season. Flanker Vilive Miramira shared that the players are currently enjoying their break.

He mentioned, “I’ve been adhering to an intense training program that focuses on conditioning, including a lot of running and strength training in the gym.” Miramira joined his teammate Motikai Murray at the centennial celebrations Fun and Sports Day at Ratu Kadavulevu School, held at Albert Park yesterday.

Miramira expressed his eagerness to play for the Flying Fijians, stating, “I will seize any opportunity to represent them.” He acknowledged the need to enhance his game knowledge and improve his fitness level. To maintain his form, Miramira typically plays touch rugby in the afternoons in Davuilevu.

He noted, “There’s no rugby for me at the moment, just rest and recovery,” but mentioned a desire to experience the sevens format to stay active. Interested in joining the Devo Babas sevens side for any upcoming tournaments, he encouraged all Devo players and coaches, wishing them the best in their next competition. “If there is any space in the team, just give me a call,” he added.
