Fiji Youth Band Takes a Stand Against Violence in Black Thursday Campaign

Members of the Fiji National Youth Band are donning black today to express their support for ending violence against women and children in Fiji, aligning with the Black Thursday campaign organized in partnership with the Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Protection – Fiji.

The band members are utilizing their platform to raise awareness about the urgent need to address violence within communities.

Team leader and band sound engineer, Mr. Saula Radrodro, emphasized, “We believe that everyone has the right to live free from fear and violence, and we are proud to stand with the Black Thursday movement in calling for an end to violence against women and children in Fiji.”

The band is encouraging individuals to wear black on Thursdays to demonstrate their solidarity with the cause and support for victims of abuse.
