Fiji’s Women’s Futsal Head Coach Jerry Sam has highlighted the team’s enthusiasm for learning and progression as their most impressive trait. The team is currently in the Solomon Islands to participate in the inaugural OFC Women’s Futsal Championship and is preparing for their opening match against Tahiti.
“The girls have trained diligently for the tournament. They are always looking ahead, and representing Fiji is a significant achievement they all aspire to,” Sam remarked.
He expressed satisfaction with the team’s dynamics, noting, “It’s been wonderful to see the girls supporting one another and pushing each other to improve. They are new to this experience, so they are eager to acquire new skills every day.”
Sam indicated that he will assess the team’s performance following their first match against Tahiti on Saturday, but he is fully confident in their capabilities.
