The Fiji Chinese Trade Show officially commenced this morning at the Vodafone Arena, featuring cutting-edge technology and innovation from 30 prominent Chinese tech companies. The four-day event aims to strengthen trade relations between Fiji and China.
Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, His Excellency Zhou Jian, highlighted that the exhibition serves as a platform for Chinese companies to investigate the Fijian market and discover opportunities for collaboration. He emphasized that the participating companies are prestigious brands across various industries, underscoring China’s advancements in technology and industrial development. This event is designed to enable Fijian businesses and citizens to gain insight into advanced Chinese technologies and products.
According to Ambassador Jian, the exhibition’s role is to create a “bridge of trade,” “bridge of cooperation,” and “bridge of friendship.” This initiative is set to enhance economic and trade collaborations, along with technological exchanges between the two nations.
In his speech, Yan Chenhui, the Deputy Director General of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, expressed pride in hosting 30 leading Chinese enterprises, including well-known firms like China Mobile, Huawei, and Great Wall Motor. He emphasized the purpose of the exhibition as a means of fostering communication between Fijian and Chinese enterprises, showcasing the innovative capabilities and technological strengths of Chinese companies.
The exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Trade, Cooperatives & MSMEs in partnership with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, will run until Sunday, November 24.
