Sailors and fishermen are urged to take necessary precautions and avoid venturing into turbulent waters. The weather service noted that an east to southeast wind flow is currently affecting the Fiji region, with a trough of low pressure located to the south.
At midday today, winds from the east to southeast are expected to reach 20 to 25 knots, resulting in rough seas and moderate southerly swells.
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms are predicted for several areas, including:
– Serua-Namosi
– Navua-Suva-Nausori-Tailevu
– Naitasiri, Ra-Rakiraki
– Eastern Macuata
– Southern Bua
– Cakaudrove
– Kadavu
– Lau
– Lomaiviti groups
Other regions will see cloudy conditions with showers and potential isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon or evening. The same weather conditions are forecast throughout all divisions and outer islands, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and evening.
