The Water Authority of Fiji has postponed planned maintenance activities originally set for this weekend, which may have caused temporary water disruptions for residents in the Suva-Nausori corridor.
In a recent statement, WAF explained that an ongoing assessment of the worksite has uncovered additional risks that must be addressed prior to commencing any work to ensure the safety of the workforce.
These identified risks could lead to delays in the project if not properly managed. Consequently, the connection work on the Viria Water Supply to the Waila Water Treatment Plant will now take place next Friday.
Furthermore, WAF has scheduled maintenance work for next month, specifically from October 4 to October 6.
The Water Authority is urging customers to make preparations by storing sufficient water for that period.
