The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has issued a notice to customers in areas frequently affected by high turbidity from the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant (WTP) regarding possible water supply disruptions. The recent heavy rainfall is expected to compromise the quality of source streams, presenting challenges in water treatment and potentially leading to reduced production at the Tamavua WTP.

Affected areas include:

– **Namadi Heights**: Mika Drue Place and Pathik Crescent.
– **Bayview Heights**: Mead Road, including roads like Volavola, Evetts Place, and more.
– **Sakoca Areas**: Elevated regions along Lakha Singh Road and Sakoca Road.
– **Tacirua**: Elevated areas along Tacirua Road, including several specific roads.
– **Tamavua**: Several localities from MH Superfresh to Upper Ragg Avenue and others in the wider Tamavua area.
– **Dokanaisuvu**: From Princes Road Junction near Savutalele to Khalsa Road.
– **Coloisuva**: Along Princes Road and specific feeder roads.
– **Lami Area**: Upper Delanivesi Areas and various significant local roads.

The WAF apologizes for any inconvenience caused and underscores the importance of ensuring a safe water supply. They recommend that residents take proactive measures by storing sufficient water for essential needs, limiting non-critical usage, and keeping stored water clean and covered.
