The Water Authority of Fiji has postponed planned construction work that was set for this weekend, which may have caused temporary water disruptions for residents in the Suva-Nausori area.
In their announcement, WAF indicated that further assessment of the worksite has identified additional risks that must be managed before any onsite work can proceed to ensure worker safety.
WAF cautioned that these risks could lead to potential delays in the project if not addressed promptly. The work on the connection from the Viria Water Supply to the Waila Water Treatment Plant will now take place next Friday.
Additionally, WAF plans to conduct maintenance work next month, scheduled for October 4th to 6th. They are urging customers to be prepared and to store enough water for their needs during this period.
