The Fiji National Early Childhood Development Policy will be implemented with the approval of the Cabinet, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Protection.
This policy aims to optimize the development of all children in Fiji, placing a significant emphasis on the critical first 1,000 days of life.
Its main objectives include ensuring optimal nutrition and health, promoting early learning and development, providing quality care, and establishing safe, nurturing environments that are free from violence, abuse, neglect, and conflict.
