Fiji’s Home Affairs Minister, Pio Tikoduadua, has made it clear that the country will not tolerate the presence of adult film stars or the production of pornographic content within its borders. This statement comes following the deportation of British adult actress Tia Emma Billinger, known as ‘Bonnie Blue,’ along with an Australian camerawoman, from Double Tree by Hilton in Nadi.
Mr. Tikoduadua emphasized that the government’s actions are firmly rooted in local laws which prohibit such activities. He noted that their intentions to create content for platforms like OnlyFans had already been made public on social media, prompting authorities to act swiftly. “Their intentions are illegal under the law, which is why we are taking these actions,” he said. The minister pointed out that Billinger’s posts violated Section 377 of the Crimes Act concerning trafficking in obscene materials, leading to their deportation under Section 13(ii)(g) of the Immigration Act.
Vetting for such individuals has posed challenges, as many use aliases, but the Immigration Department aims to enhance their efforts to prevent similar breaches in the future. Mr. Tikoduadua confirmed they are collaborating with international agencies to track and address these concerns more effectively.
