Fiji Student Achieves Near-Perfect Exam Score!

Viola Ravutubananitu, a 13-year-old student from Tagitagi Sangam Primary School in Tavua, has achieved remarkable success in the Fiji Eighth Year Examination, scoring an impressive 491 out of 500 marks. Viola attributes her achievements to the unwavering support of her family and her deep faith in God.

Hailing from Totoya in Lau, and with maternal roots in Tavualevu, Tavua, Viola expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the encouragement she received, especially from her late grandfather, Aisake Ravutubananitu. She remarked, “I thank the Almighty. I am happy and proud that all my hard work didn’t go to waste.” Viola shared that her dedication included late-night study sessions and early morning revisions throughout the year.

The young scholar also acknowledged the constant support from her grandmother, Ro Vani Ravutubananitu, her class teacher, Nazeel Ali, and the head teacher and staff at her school. She dedicated this significant achievement to her family, particularly remembering her grandfather who always nurtured her aspirations.

Viola, whose parents include a corrections officer and a homemaker, is now looking forward to enrolling in Adi Cakobau School (ACS) next year. She expressed admiration for ACS, noting it trains women to be strong and independent.

Viola’s remarkable dedication and resilience not only inspire her school community but also reflect the potential that the younger generation holds for the future.
