The Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys U18 team claimed victory over their Australian rivals for the second consecutive time, winning 34-25 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
After suffering a 26-14 defeat in their previous encounter, the Australian team aimed to bounce back and started strong, initially leading 10-0 with a converted try and a penalty.
However, the Fiji Schoolboys responded vigorously, scoring three tries by Waisake Vakacere, Raymond Navunikaba, and Ratu Epeli Roseruvakula, along with a penalty from Isikeli Bari, to establish a 22-10 lead by halftime.
Determined to turn the match around, the Australian team came out for the second half with renewed focus, managing to score ten more points, bringing the deficit down to just two points.
In the final stages of the match, winger Nathan Stephens and Asaeli Gade managed to score two essential tries, securing the win and clinching the two-match series for Fiji.
