The Vodafone Fiji Schoolboys U18 team achieved a remarkable victory over their Australian counterparts for the second time, winning 34-25 at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
After suffering a 26-14 defeat last week, the Australian team aimed for a comeback and started strong, leading 10-0 with a converted try and a penalty. However, the Fiji Schoolboys quickly responded by scoring three tries from Waisake Vakacere, Raymond Navunikaba, and Ratu Epeli Roseruvakula, along with a penalty kick from Isikeli Bari, bringing the halftime score to 22-10 in favor of Fiji.
Determined to turn the match around, the Australian Schoolboys came back after the break, adding ten points to close the gap to just two points. Winger Nathan Stephens and Asaeli Gade then scored two tries for Fiji, securing their victory and winning the two-match series.
