BJ Mather, the General Manager of the Fiji Rugby Union High-Performance Unit, has resigned from his position due to personal commitments. Peter Mazey, the Chairman of the FRU Trust Board, confirmed Mather’s resignation and indicated that he will have further discussions regarding this decision. Mather had recently accompanied the Flying Fijians during the Pacific Nations Cup finals.
In the interim, Bill Gadolo will serve as the Acting General Manager of the High-Performance Unit. Mazey also mentioned that the position will be advertised since it is funded by World Rugby. He expressed his hope that Gadolo would assume the role permanently, noting his experience as Mather’s understudy and his willingness to collaborate with him moving forward.
