Fiji Rugby Union has announced that Saiasi Fuli, head coach of the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s, will conclude his contract in December. Following discussions with Fuli, the board of trustees has decided to open applications for the role to find a suitable candidate to lead the women’s team into its next chapter.
Interim Chairman of FRU, Peter Mazey, stated that the new coach will be responsible for developing and executing a High Performance Strategy and selecting the team for the forthcoming HSBC 7s series program.
Mazey expressed gratitude to everyone who played a role in the success of the Paris 2024 Rugby 7s competition, highlighting the commitment of coaches, players, and staff that contributed to the positive outcome. He emphasized the anticipation of an exciting journey ahead and the continued pursuit of excellence on the global stage.
