The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) disbursed a total of $10.4 million in salaries, Fiji National Provident Fund contributions, and allowances to its 210 employees during the 2020-2021 financial year, according to its recently tabled annual report in Parliament.
The report highlighted that the 18 key management personnel of the FRA collectively received remuneration amounting to $2 million. Additionally, board member Aptinko Vaurasi was compensated $11,500 for the financial period.
The FRA operates under a business model and has established corporate, financial, and program management systems to carry out its responsibilities effectively. It mentioned that the CEO’s salary is decided by the board, whereas employee salaries are set by the CEO through a salary band system.
In total, the FRA allocated $9.8 million for employee salaries, contributed $412,323 to the Fiji National Provident Fund, and provided $136,477 in allowances.
