The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service will continue to receive capacity-building programs and technical assistance from the Australian Tax Office for an additional year.
FRCS Chief Executive Udit Singh stated that this partnership is focused on building a strong and effective working relationship.
Singh mentioned that this initiative will aid FRCS in establishing and implementing a robust, transparent, and efficient tax regime in Fiji.
FRCS expressed gratitude for the exceptional support and commitment shown by the Australian Government and ATO in enhancing Fiji’s tax administration.
Additionally, a senior member of ATO visited FRCS for a technical mission aimed at setting up mechanisms for the exchange of information on request and spontaneous exchange of information, thereby boosting FRCS’s abilities to identify, investigate, and address tax crimes.
