Fiji Prepares for Presidential Appointment: What to Expect?

Parliament is set to convene at the end of this month to appoint Fiji’s President. The Business Committee has confirmed that the official appointment will take place on the 31st at 11 am. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is anticipated to nominate the current President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere. According to the 2013 Constitution, a president can serve for a maximum of two terms.
