Fiji Powerlifting achieved remarkable success at the Oceania Regional Powerlifting Championship held in Nauru, securing a total of 19 medals. The team brought home two gold medals, seven silver medals, and ten bronze medals across various weight categories, including under 74kg, under 83kg, under 93kg, under 105kg, and under 120kg.
Among the medalists were standout performers such as Vinesh Chand, Faga Varea, Muzzammi Ali, Viliame Lagonilakeba, Kurt Wise, and young talent Vivaan Patel, who was the youngest competitor at the event.
In addition to their impressive medal haul, Fiji has been awarded the opportunity to host the 2026 Oceania Powerlifting Championship, signaling a bright future for the sport in the nation.
