The Fiji Police Force rugby team has received significant support from Shop N Save supermarket as they gear up for the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Challenge. This sponsorship marks the third consecutive year that the local supermarket has backed the Police Blues in their efforts to defend the prestigious bowl against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces on November 8 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
George Brown, a security consultant from Shop N Save, presented the sponsorship and praised the police officers for their contributions to community and nation-building efforts.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime Mesake Waqa, who serves as the president of the Police rugby team, stated that the sponsorship will help cover the logistics for the team and expressed gratitude to Shop N Save for their ongoing support.
Waqa emphasized that they do not underestimate their opponents and recognize the significance of this event for both forces. He noted that the military officers will be eager to win the bowl, especially after their recent loss in the Escott Shield over the weekend. He assured that the military will come well-prepared for the upcoming Sukuna Bowl Challenge.
