The Fiji Police Force rugby team has received significant support from Shop N Save supermarket as they gear up for the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Challenge. This marks the third consecutive year that the supermarket, which is locally owned, has sponsored the Police Blues in their efforts to defend the bowl against the Republic of Fiji Military Forces on November 8 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

George Brown, the security consultant for Shop N Save Supermarket, presented the sponsorship and expressed gratitude for the police officers’ contributions to the community and nation-building efforts.

Assistant Commissioner of Police – Crime, Mesake Waqa, who serves as the president of Police Rugby, noted that the sponsorship will help cover the team’s logistical needs and thanked Shop N Save for their ongoing support.

“We are not underestimating our opponents,” Waqa stated. “This is an event that both forces look forward to and where they showcase their best on the day. I know our military opponents will be eager to claim the bowl, especially after their loss of the Escott Shield over the weekend. I am confident they will come prepared for the Sukuna.”

The amount of the sponsorship has not been disclosed.
