In a recent operation, the Fiji Police Force apprehended a man from Navua who was discovered with illegal drugs. This incident took place during a search executed with a warrant at the suspect’s residence by the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU). The canine unit, specifically K9 Herb, played a crucial role in identifying areas in the home where drugs were hidden.

Upon conducting the search, police found a total of 171 dried plants, suspected to be marijuana, stashed in various locations including beneath a mattress, inside a bedroom wardrobe, and under the kitchen table. The suspect is now in police custody as the investigation continues into the origins and distribution of the drugs.
