Five players from the Fiji sevens rugby team who won a silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris last month were honored by the Fiji Police Force. The event took place at Police Headquarters, where the Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, along with senior officers, hosted the athletes.

The players recognized were Police Constables Terio Tamani, Waisea Nacuqu, Joseva Talacolo, Filipe Sauturga, and Jeremaia Matana. The purpose of the gathering was to acknowledge their significant achievements and commend them for representing the police force with honor.

During the ceremony, the Acting Commissioner expressed gratitude to the officers for proudly carrying both the national flag and the Fiji Police Force flag, while also highlighting their discipline both on and off the rugby field. He conveyed the pride the Fiji Police Force family feels regarding the players’ accomplishments and wished them success in their careers within the police force.
