Independent parliamentarian Mosese Bulitavu expressed his gratitude to Speaker of the House Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu for allowing him and his 16 former FijiFirst Members to retain their seats in Parliament.
“I would like to thank you for your wisdom and also your decision in the past few months that has enabled us, most of the Members on this side of Parliament, 17 of us, to keep our seats and not vacate our seats,” Bulitavu said.
“We thank you for your confidence in us. Despite our party being deregistered and attempting to terminate us, you listened to our side of the story. With the legal opinions you sought, you decided that we could continue as Members of Parliament without vacating our seats.”
