Fiji Mourns the Sudden Loss of Public Trustee Chief Executive Tevita Kuruvakadua

Tevita Kuruvakadua, the former Chief Executive of the Fiji Public Trustee Corporation, has died following a short illness at the age of 51. He passed away on August 13. Kuruvakadua was appointed to his position in April 2024 and led the Corporation until last month when he opted for early retirement.

The Fiji Public Trustee Corporation acknowledged in a statement that although his tenure was brief, Kuruvakadua’s extensive knowledge, passion, and fresh approach significantly impacted the staff. The statement expressed that his contributions have left a lasting legacy within the organization, and his leadership qualities will be fondly remembered.

Kuruvakadua had a professional background in accounting and financial management. Plans for his funeral are expected to be announced soon.
