Community Work and Drug Awareness initiatives launched by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces began yesterday as part of the preparations for the 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl.
The activities kicked off in the morning at the Dilkusha Home, where members of the two disciplined forces engaged in cleaning, general maintenance, and the planting of over a hundred cassava plants for the children residing there.
In the afternoon, the team held a drug awareness session at Gospel High School, focusing on the detrimental effects of drug use. Kalesi Volatabu, the founder of Drug Free World, along with representatives from the Health Ministry, joined the initiative at the school.
This collaborative community effort will persist throughout the following week, contributing to the lead-up to the 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Games.
