The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) celebrated the graduation of the 1/23 Officer Cadet Course and 1/24 Territorial Officers Bridging Course at the Force Training Group Drill Square in Nasinu on November 19, 2024.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of the Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration, Pio Tikoduadua, who praised the graduates for achieving a significant milestone in their military careers. In his speech, Tikoduadua highlighted the importance of this moment, describing it as the beginning of an extraordinary journey. He remarked, “You stand on the threshold of a path that few have the honor to tread—a path defined by responsibility and purpose.” He also emphasized the dual roles of the new officers as both commanders and leaders who must inspire others with courage and conviction.

The Minister reinforced the vital responsibility the graduates carry in shaping the future of the RFMF and their commitment to serving the nation. “You will uphold the traditions of the RFMF while guiding its evolution to reflect the values of our nation. Your development as an officer is now your responsibility,” he stated.

In closing his address, Tikoduadua urged the officers to lead with integrity, honor, and to uphold Fiji’s democratic principles. He inspired them to serve their soldiers and the nation with excellence, viewing their service as a reflection of pride and duty.

The graduation ceremony marked a proud moment for the graduates and their families, signifying the commencement of their journey as leaders within the RFMF.

This event signals a renewed commitment to leadership and service in Fiji, as these new officers step into roles that require dedication and integrity. Their journey, filled with responsibilities, offers a promising future not only for their careers but also for the RFMF and the nation.
