NETBALL Fiji has announced the final roster of 12 players who will represent the Fiji Men’s Netball Team at the Singapore Men’s Nations Cup, scheduled from December 2 to 8.
Head coach Jioweli Vakamoce shared that the selection process was rigorous, with management carefully evaluating each player’s strengths and weaknesses, performance, attitude, commitment to training, teamwork, and leadership abilities. “The team is in the final stages of preparation and continues to work hard,” Vakamoce noted.
The training regimen has ramped up, with recent sessions held on a public holiday, demonstrating the team’s dedication. “We trained from 7am to 10am,” he added. As part of the current training phase, the players are also engaging in full game simulations every Saturday after their conditioning workouts.
Vivian Koster, CEO of Netball Fiji, expressed enthusiasm for the growth of the Men’s program and urged fans to rally behind the team as they prepare to make a significant impact on the international scene.
The final squad includes: Kitione Waqavonovono (Captain), Vilive Wainidroa (Vice-Captain), Amena Nacavaraba, Josefata Cati, Joseva Nawaqa, Rarawa Vulimainarita, Atonio Lovokuro, Poasa Vulaono, Savenaca Sorovaki, Sireli Tuidrakim, Atonio Bakaniceva, Nacanieli Goneyali.
