Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, highlighted Fiji’s progress in addressing climate change during the Small States Forum. He emphasized the critical need for adaptation funding through the International Development Association’s (IDA) 21st replenishment. Professor Prasad also called for enhanced regional cooperation, referencing the regional correspondent banking arrangement as a successful example of fostering stability and growth. He stressed the necessity of combining resources and expertise within the region to advance sustainable development and bolster climate resilience.
