Fiji Leads the Charge in Climate Action and Financial Collaboration

Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, highlighted the country’s progress in climate action during his address at the Small States Forum. He emphasized the critical role of adaptation financing, specifically through the 21st replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA). Prof Prasad also called for enhanced regional cooperation, citing the regional correspondent banking arrangement as an effective model for promoting stability and growth. He stressed the need for pooling resources and expertise within the region to foster sustainable development and enhance climate resilience.
