The Fiji Football Association, in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB), will hold a weeklong grassroots coaching course to promote women’s football in Fiji. Timo Jankowski, the Technical Director of Fiji FA, highlighted that this initiative presents a significant opportunity for local coaches to gain from KNVB’s esteemed coach education programs. “KNVB is globally recognized for their high-level coaching education, and their involvement is a crucial advancement for football development in Fiji,” Jankowski stated. The course, scheduled from October 7 to 11 at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, will train 33 coaches, including 31 Fijians from various backgrounds such as primary school teachers, players, and district coaches, along with two participants from Tuvalu.
