Fiji Junior Kulas Gear Up for Thrilling OFC U16 Showdown Against Tonga!

The Fiji Junior Kulas are preparing for the OFC Under-16 Women’s Championship, which will begin on Sunday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Head coach Marika Rodu has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations as they finalize their training.

“The preparation is well underway as we enter our last week, and we are aiming to keep everything under control. The girls are in good condition and are ready for the first match against Tonga,” Rodu stated to Fiji FA Media.

He expects a tough challenge in the opening game against Tonga, recognizing that the first match can often be the most difficult. “We don’t anticipate an easy match against Tonga, as the first game is always tough, but the goal is to settle in and focus on our game,” he explained.

Rodu pointed out that Tonga tends to adopt a defensive strategy, often employing a low block, which might pose a challenge for Fiji. Nevertheless, he is hopeful about the Junior Kulas’ prospects, asserting, “We will address that and aim to secure the three points on Sunday.”

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 PM.
