Attorney-General Graham Leung will lead Fiji’s delegation at the 48th session of the Universal Periodic Review Working Group in Geneva, Switzerland, where they will participate in an interactive dialogue regarding Fiji’s State Report. This followed the Cabinet’s approval for the submission of Fiji’s State Report to the Universal Working Group Secretariat. The Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process is a member state-driven initiative that assesses the human rights records of countries every four to five years. Fiji’s last review occurred in November 2019, and the next review will take place during the UPR Working Group’s upcoming session in January 2025.
