The Fiji Football Association has launched an innovative initiative, partnering with International Football Consultancy, led by Ali McLae and Russ Gurr. The goal of this collaboration is to enhance the national team’s chances in future FIFA World Cup tournaments by locating and recruiting players of Fijian descent from around the globe.
Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf commented, “We believe this initiative, along with our established FFA national academies, will expedite the development of top local talent while bringing in new overseas players to strengthen our teams.”
McLae and Gurr, seasoned professionals in the industry with extensive international networks, will be instrumental in the search and recruitment process for these players. Yusuf added, “The integration of local and international talent will foster a more competitive and vibrant atmosphere for Fijian football.”
