The Digicel Fiji National Football Team has improved by three positions, now sitting at 150th in the latest FIFA World Rankings. This rise follows strong showings in the Tri-Nations series, where Fiji secured a victory over the Solomon Islands and managed a draw against Hong Kong. Under Coach Rob Sherman, the team’s advancement is clear as they are now the third highest-ranked team in Oceania, following New Zealand at 95th and the Solomon Islands at 144th. Additionally, Samoa has made notable gains, ascending seven places to 185th after winning against Tonga and American Samoa in FIFA World Cup qualifiers. On the global front, Argentina remains at the top as the highest-ranked team, retaining its position as the reigning world champions.
