The Fiji Football Association has officially opened its preseason player transfer window, allowing teams until January 31 to finalize their rosters for the upcoming season. Rohitesh Narayan, the Player Transfer Registration Manager, clarified that any player transferring to a new district must commit to their new team for a minimum of one year. Notably, players who changed districts and clubs during last season’s mid-season window will not be permitted to transfer again.
Additionally, Narayan emphasized that players currently under contracts must fulfill their contractual responsibilities before considering a move.
In the wake of Tailevu Naitasiri’s relegation, the team is anticipated to lose several players, while the newly promoted Tavua is looking to enhance its squad with fresh talent and experience.
This transfer period presents an excellent opportunity for teams to strengthen their lineups and prepare for competitive play. Fans can look forward to the potential for exciting developments as clubs make strategic moves to improve their chances for the upcoming season.
