FIFA icon Luke Wilkshire is set to be the chief guest at the upcoming Extra Supermarket Fiji Football Association Awards Night, scheduled to take place at the Crown Plaza Hotel on December 1. Wilkshire, famed for his role as a right-back, has represented Australia in 80 international matches and played in the English Premier League for teams like Middlesbrough and Bristol City, as well as for Feyenoord in the Netherlands.
This exciting announcement was made by Fiji FA chief executive officer, Mohammed Yusuf. The Awards Night marks a significant comeback after a three-year hiatus, and there is great anticipation surrounding the event. With the support of the new sponsor, Extra Supermarket, the Fiji FA is committed to enhancing the experience for attendees.
Fourteen prestigious awards will be presented, recognizing outstanding achievements across various categories. These include the Male and Female Footballer of the Year, Young Male and Female Footballer of the Year, Male and Female Futsal Player of the Year, Team of the Year, Administrator of the Year, Coach of the Year, Referee of the Year, Elite Player of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Employee of the Year.
